NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte celebrated International Women's Day 2023 on 11th March 2023.

Dr. Prabha Niranjan, Professor, Dept. of ECE welcomed the gathering and explained the significance of Women's Day celebration. Ms. Shankari, Asst. Professor, Dept of ECE introduced the Chief guest, Ms. Shilpa Shetty, Asst. Executive Engineer, MESCOM. Ms. Shetty expressed her thoughts on how a working woman can balance her professional & family life.

Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal in his presidential address, conveyed his best wishes and stressed the importance of celebrating Women's day.

After the formal inaugural function, three women from various professional backgrounds of Karkala Taluk were felicitated.

• Ms. Shashikala Hegde, Chairman, Vardhaman Educational Institutions.
• Ms. Ayisha, Social worker & Founder of Suraksha Ashrama.
• Ms. Mattu, Housekeeper, NMAMIT, Nitte for her long service of 30 years.
• Ms. Shashikala K Hegde spoke about 'Empowering women entrepreneurs'.

Ms. Bhavya, Asst. Professor in the Dept. of Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Shwetha Bharath, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Humanities compered the program.

Various cultural events and fun games were organized for the ladies.
