About the institute
Offering Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral studies in nursing, Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS) is one of the oldest colleges under the ambit of Nitte. Students receive clinical training at the 1,200-bed, multispecialty Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital. The institute has an MoU with ISDC Projects India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, to deliver the International Certificate in Clinical Competence for Nurses (OSCE Preparatory Program) developed by ISDC, UK, to BSc Nursing students. This is an attempt to upgrade students' skills to international standards.
About the Program
A two-year postgraduate program for registered nurses, it helps them advance their clinical skills and study/work in specialised areas like pediatrics, psychology or gynecology.
Eligibility
Pass in BSc Nursing or Post Basic BSc Nursing from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. The candidate should have a minimum of 1-year work experience after registration with the Nursing Council.
Candidates seeking admission to MSc Nursing program are required to submit the Enquiry form & Application available on apply.nitte.edu.inAdmission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

- Migration Certificate from the University of the institution last studied (Original)
- Physical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical practitioner
- Blood Group Certificate
- Aadhaar card copy of the student
- Photographs: Recent colour photo with white background, of resolution 300-600 dpi & Passport size 5 Nos. (35mm x 45mm) & Stamp size 5 Nos. (20mm x 25mm)
Commencement of Program
The MSc Nursing program commences on the date prescribed by the University, generally in August.
