About the Institution

Nitte Institute of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS), established in 2025, is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, and situated in the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangaluru.

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Radiotherapy Technology (BSc RTT) is a specialized program designed to train students in the planning and delivery of radiation treatment to cancer patients. As a crucial part of the oncology team, radiotherapy technologists play a vital role in administering high- precision therapeutic radiation under the guidance of radiation oncologists and medical physicists.

This program blends theoretical foundations in radiation physics with hands-on clinical training, equipping students with the skills needed to operate advanced radiotherapy equipment and ensure patient safety during treatments. Graduates are prepared to work in cancer treatment centers, tertiary hospitals, and research facilities, contributing meaningfully to the fight against cancer.

At Nitte Institute of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS), the curriculum emphasizes not only technical proficiency but also patient care, ethics, and interdisciplinary collaboration, preparing students for dynamic roles in modern cancer care.
