K S Hegde Medical Academy, established in 1999 is recognized by the Medical Council of India / NMC, New Delhi. It is affiliated to Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru and situated in the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangaluru. Students are employed in Government organizations, national and international Non- Government Organizations, United Nation Organization and its agencies like WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, UNOPS, UN Women, FAO etc. pharmaceuticals, insurance agencies, corporates and private sector organizations in themes of programme development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance and research & development.
