Nitte Institute of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS), established in 2025, is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, and situated in the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangaluru.
About the Program
PG Diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology is a one-year advanced training program designed for qualified imaging technologists who aspire to specialize in MRI. The course offers in-depth knowledge and hands-on clinical training in the principles, protocols, and techniques of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
This program prepares students to operate MRI systems independently, perform advanced imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and interpret imaging data in collaboration with radiologists and clinicians. Graduates will be well-positioned for advanced roles in diagnostic imaging centers, hospitals, and academic institutions.
Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission must have:
- BSc in Medical Imaging Technology (minimum 3.5 years including internship)
- MSc in Medical Imaging Technology (2 years), from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50%
Admission Procedure
Students seeking admission to the PG Diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology are required to submit the
Admission Query form available on apply.nitte.edu.in
Upon receipt of the same, the Admission Section will guide students through the
process of registration and admission.
Admission to the PG Diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology is based on
merit in the qualifying
examination.
Documents required for admission
- 10th standard pass certificate for proof of date of birth
- Degree marks cards of all years
- Internship completion certificate
- Provisional/Degree certificate
- Transfer certificate from the institution last attended
- Conduct certificate from the institution last attended
- Eligibility certificate issued by Nitte University (This will be handled by us)
- Migration certificate from the University of the institution last studied
- Physical fitness and blood group certificates
- Photographs: Recent colour photo with white background of resolution 300–600 dpi – 35 mm x 45 mm (P.P size – 5 Nos.) and 20 mm x 25 mm (Stamp size – 5 Nos.)
- Aadhaar card copy of the student
Commencement of Program
The program commences on the date prescribed by the University, generally in August / September.
