Nitte Institute of Allied Health Sciences (NIAHS), established in 2025, is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, and situated in the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangaluru.
The Bachelor of Science in Radiotherapy Technology (B.Sc RTT) is a specialized program designed to train students in the planning and delivery of radiation treatment to cancer patients. As a crucial part of the oncology team, radiotherapy technologists play a vital role in administering high- precision therapeutic radiation under the guidance of radiation oncologists and medical physicists.
This program blends theoretical foundations in radiation physics with hands-on clinical training, equipping students with the skills needed to operate advanced radiotherapy equipment and ensure patient safety during treatments. Graduates are prepared to work in cancer treatment centers, tertiary hospitals, and research facilities, contributing meaningfully to the fight against cancer.

Prof. (Dr) Jayaprakash Shetty is a distinguished pathologist and academician with more than two
decades of extensive experience in clinical practice and medical education. He holds an MBBS and MD
in Pathology, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Glasgow [FRCP (Glasg)]. Prof.
Jayaprakash has been instrumental in shaping undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral training
programs. His academic leadership, commitment to excellence in pathology, and mentorship have made a
lasting impact on medical education and research. Prof. Jayaprakash is widely respected for his
scholarly contributions and dedication to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Pass in 12th standard or equivalent examination with 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology with English as one of the languages of study. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Admission to BSc (RTT) is based on merit in the qualifying examination.
