Division of Clinical Embryology

Clinical Embryology is a rapidly evolving discipline driven by the global rise in infertility. Since the birth of the first IVF baby in 1978, reproductive science has seen remarkable breakthroughs—from advanced genetics to precision lab technologies. Today’s fertility labs are dynamic environments where life begins under the care of skilled professionals. Clinical embryology demands more than technique; it calls for curiosity, precision, and empathy. This MSc program prepares you to lead in a field that continues to evolve, offering hope to millions.

At NIAHS, our MSc in Clinical Embryology is a rigorous four-semester program designed to cultivate both clinical expertise and scientific inquiry. With a strong emphasis on hands-on training and an independent research dissertation, the program empowers students to become thoughtful practitioners and contributors to the field’s scientific advancement.

Our program is uniquely affiliated with KSHEMA IVF – Fertility & Reproductive Medicine Centre, located at Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte. Established in December 2013, KSHEMA IVF was the first IVF centre within a teaching hospital in Mangalore—making our program the first of its kind in the Dakshina Kannada region.
