The Institute is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), which has been accredited with an A+ by NAAC. All the programs are demand-driven, with excellent infrastructure and clinical facilities, and dedicated faculty members.
The primary goal of our institute is to develop innovative and interdisciplinary programs that align with the evolving landscape of the healthcare system. Health care systems requires a well trained and highly skilled workforce, in view of this, the institute envisions trained allied healthcare professionals who can create a difference in quality of life of individuals. The institute offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. The clinical training is provided to all the students in 1200 bedded NABH accredited Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital and NABL accredited Central laboratories. There is also a state of the art skill lab (NU-MEDSIM), which trains all the students in simulated environment. Simulation allows students to repeat procedures till they demonstrate acceptable levels of skill without putting actual patient at risk and yet acquiring procedural competence. The hospital is one of the best and state of the art tertiary care hospital in the coastal Karnataka.
The programs offered are specially designed to prepare undergraduate and postgraduate students for rewarding careers in the growing healthcare industry.
