Ar. Bindu Malhotra, with 29 years of experience, is working as a Professor and Head of the Architecture Department at Nitte School of Architecture, Planning and Design from June 2019. She is also IIC President and has undergone Innovation Ambassador training (Advanced Level) conducted by MoE's Innovation Cell & AICTE.

She is a double graduate with bachelor's in architecture and bachelor's in law from Punjabi university, Punjab. Her master's in urban design is from BMSSA, Bengaluru. Her major areas of competence and interest are architectural design, urban design, heritage and conservation.

She has remarkable industry and academic experience across the various states of India. She had the privilege of working with Late Ar. Nimish Patel and Ar. Parul Javeri in their ABHIKRAM office, leading her to develop great interest in heritage and conservation projects. In her extensive career, she has been working on various plans and strategies towards the growth and success of the organization. She is a strong believer of teamwork and handling challenges in stride. She is an effective leader with strong analytical and relationship building skills.

She has been part of many faculty development programs on sustainability, heritage and design pedagogy. Also, she has been certified for many NPTEL courses which has provided her with valuable insights into various fields. She is an ardent traveler and has great exposure to various cultures, architecture, and people. She also takes classes on Yoga, meditation, and moral values. She also has command in the financial field.

Her research and publications are mostly in sustainability, conservation, restoration, and urban design as her research interests focus primarily on restoration, adaptive re-use and conservation of our rich cultural heritage. She has presented papers in National and International Conferences. She believes that the mantra for success and happiness is to have a cheerful outlook in life and work towards solutions instead of problems.

Ar. Sumanta Patil is an Associate Professor at Nitte School of Architecture Planning and Design in Bengaluru, with over 20+ years of experience in the architectural field- 14 years of industry experience and 6 years in academia. Her background includes work on various architectural projects, such as residential, commercial, and corporate interior design. She has served as an Associate Architect and Partner at Anmol Associates in Bengaluru, among other firms.

She is an alumna of the School of Architecture at KLE Technological University, Hubballi (formerly BVB College of Engineering and Technology), where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in Construction & Project Management.

Since 2016, she has been actively involved in academia, sharing her professional knowledge with students and helping to develop the next generation of architects. Her experience in both industry and education allows her to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

I am a versatile designer with expertise in Architecture and Product Design, honed through academic training at IIT Guwahati. My career spans diverse architectural and interior design projects, where I have consistently demonstrated passion and innovation. Highlights include winning prestigious competitions like the NOKIA Confluence Competition (2013) and the Packinnova Contest by P&G (2012). I was also a finalist for the Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis (2009) and published my master’s thesis in the ICSEC 2013 conference proceedings in Bangkok. Beyond professional achievements, I take pride in mentoring students who have advanced their studies at leading international institutions such as IAAC University and the University at Buffalo. As a Board of Examinations member at Visvesvaraya Technological University, I actively contribute to shaping design education. My teaching journey includes exploring rapid wall technologies like GFRG and EPS (3D Panels), integrating cutting-edge methods into practice. I am also deeply interested in incorporating AI into Architecture and Design, pushing the boundaries of conventional approaches. Though teaching is not my primary profession, it is my true calling. I strive to inspire discovery and help others unlock their potential by combining forward-thinking design principles with a focus on meaningful experiences.

Er. Anusha M is a Civil and Structural Engineer with over 13 years of combined teaching and research experience. Her impressive academic journey includes prestigious institutions like REVA University, Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), and M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. She is a passionate researcher focused on sustainable materials and innovative building solutions.

Her research excellence is evident through publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals (including SCI-indexed and SCOPUS Q1, Q2, and Q3) and a remarkable three patents for her inventions. Her contributions have been recognized through state government, national, and international awards, including a gold medal from the INEX Karnataka chapter. She is a Fellow of the esteemed Indian Concrete Institute with expertise in securing accreditations like NBA and NAAC.

Beyond research, she is actively contributes to the field by serving as a resource person and judge for various events. She has also organized over 10 Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and workshops, demonstrating her commitment to knowledge sharing. Er. Pooja Ugrani, an architect, artist and teacher from Bangalore, enjoys investigating how human behaviour and the urban built environment impact each other. She analysed the expression of ownership at the boundaries of domains in urban mass housing as part of her Masters thesis. She is also a poet, whose book My Home is Dissent was recently published by Poetrywala, Mumbai. She runs a brand called Sound of Paper, that teaches the art of origami to children as well as adults as well as retails products in boutique stores in Bangalore. She has conducted workshops for architecture students in the past and plans to explore architecture through origami. When she is relaxing, she sings Hindustani classical music and plans for a trek to the Himalayas.

Art. Rakesh Kallur G is a distinguished visual artist with 15 years of experience in the visual arts field. For the past five years, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at Nitte School of Architecture, Planning, and Design. Holding a Master of Visual Arts (M.V.A.) from Bangalore University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA), Mysore, Rakesh is known for his compelling solo exhibitions such as "I Do Exist" and "Cover Page." He has also made his mark in numerous group shows.

His contributions to the art community are highlighted by his active involvement in various art camps and workshops. Prof. Rohini is an Architect and an Environmental Planner, alumni of M.S. Ramaiah School of Architecture, Bangalore and School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (an Institution of National Importance under MoE, GoI) respectively. She's now pursuing her PhD in Environmental Planning at the prestigious School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (an Institution of National Importance under MoE, GoI), which has been recognised as one of the Centre of Excellence in India. Her interests are regional planning, climate change, climate finance, environmental law and environmental justice.She has been a faculty at NitteSAPD since five years and has served under the Department of Architecture and now serves under the Department of Planning. I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor, with a strong academic foundation and extensive industry experience. I hold a Master's degree in Sustainable Architecture from NIT Hamirpur, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from VTU Belagavi, and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from Annamalai University. I have also completed a basic course in Ornithology from BNHS Mumbai, further enhancing my understanding of wildlife.

With 7 years of industry experience, I have had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including large-scale residential developments, industrial buildings, and hospitality spaces. This practical experience is complemented by 4 years in academia, where I am dedicated to inspiring and guiding the next generation of architects.

I am deeply passionate about research in nature and wildlife-inclusive design in urban settings. My other areas of focus include natural building practices, climate-responsive architecture, alternative building materials, passive energy strategies, and permaculture. I am also deeply engaged in the study and documentation of culture and heritage, particularly traditional building techniques, and their application in contemporary design.
