The Nitte School of Architecture, Planning, and Design (NSAPD) was established in 2016 under the auspices of the Nitte Education Trust. It is an institution part of the Nitte (Deemed to be University), and aims to nurture professional Architects, Planners and Designers capable of evolving innovative approaches for the development and management of the profession as leaders. NSAPD is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA), the Institute of Town Planners of India (ITPI), AICTE, and the Government of Karnataka. NSAPD offers Undergraduate programmes in B. Arch, B. What distinguishes us is our distinctive approach to techno-creative education, which integrates technical proficiency with critical thinking, creativity, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The notable accomplishments of our alumni serve as a testament to the excellence of the education and training they received at NSAPD.
A culture of collaboration and inter-disciplinary thinking is fostered and is key to finding sustainable solutions to the problems within urban India.
We are fortunate to have some of the most well-equipped infrastructural facilities and our campus building reflects the values and quality of design education we strive to offer. Sharing the campus facilities with Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology ensures a collaborative space for the students to learn and work with peer groups from other branches of engineering and management, creating a vibrant and inclusive community that welcomes all students.
At NSAPD, our primary focus is the multi-dimensional and holistic development of our students. Students have various clubs to pursue their co-curricular interests. We facilitate opportunities for interaction with experts from multiple fields through workshops, summer schools, study tours, webinars, conferences, and more. In addition to the cultural events and fests, we also have a Technical Open Hub, the IGBC NSPAD Students’ Chapter in Bangalore and the IIA NSAP Students’ Centre. These tie-ups will go a long way in providing students with opportunities and exposure to foster their professional career structurally and ethically.
