Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialty of dentistry concerned with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of congenital or acquired diseases, dysfunction, defects, or injuries of the mouth, jaws, face, neck, and adjacent craniofacial regions.
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was started in the year 1985, and the Postgraduate program in the year 1991. Our department was the first to initiate the three-year postgraduate program in India. Since then, we have progressed by leaps and bounds as a center of excellence for craniofacial surgery. Over the years, we have performed more than 21,000 complex surgeries of the head and neck region.
