The Department of Information Science and Engineering was established in the year 2001 and offers a 4-year undergraduate program (B.Tech). The initial Intake of 60 students has now grown to 240 students. The undergraduate program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under the Tier-1 scheme, which corresponds to the Washington Accord and is valid up to the academic year 2026–27. The department also offers a doctoral program.

This collaboration aims to foster industry-academia engagement, providing students and faculty members access to AWS programs, training resources, and joint initiatives.
