The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays a key role in preparing students for successful professional careers by bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. Through structured training, career guidance, internships, industry certifications, mentorship, and placement initiatives, the CDC helps students build the technical knowledge, professional skills, and confidence required to succeed in a competitive global workforce. As a result of this continuous and focused approach, many students secure employment opportunities even before completing their graduation.
With a strong network of leading national and multinational organisations, the CDC provides students with opportunities to engage with industry through campus recruitment drives, expert interactions, workshops, internships, and experiential learning. Our focus extends beyond placements—we are committed to fostering lifelong learning, innovation, professionalism, and leadership, enabling every graduate to transition seamlessly from the classroom to the workplace and contribute meaningfully from the very beginning of their careers.

I’m incredibly grateful to the CDC for their constant support throughout my placement preparation. The technical training sessions organized by the college, including those led by professionals from Amazon, helped me strengthen my fundamentals. I also benefited greatly from the mock interviews arranged by CDC, which gave me real-time interview experience. The entire CDC team played a crucial role in helping me bring out my best, and I truly appreciate their efforts.

The CDC helped me a lot during my placements. I give special thanks to L&D team members who were there at any hour to answer my queries regarding the placements or if I need any special guidance. The mock interviews helped me realise my stand in interviews and also helped me build confidence. They also tried their best to give technical training to boost skills of other students for the placements. I was able to clear and get offers from two companies within a span of three days and would like to give credit to the CDC to be a factor in that achievement.

The training sessions gave me the right mix of technical and soft skills, and the constant support from the L&D team made a huge difference. The mock interviews and regular guidance not only improved my confidence but also helped me understand how to present myself better. Their encouragement and effort played a big part in helping me achieve this milestone.

The placement training at NMIT from the 5th semester was honestly a game-changer for many of us. The sessions on aptitude, coding, and soft skills made a huge difference in how we approached placements. The mock interviews and practice tests gave us the confidence to handle real interviews without fear and also helped us work on our weak areas. I’m really thankful to our ECE placement coordinator for always being there to guide us and for coordinating so well with the placement cell. Looking back, I feel the training didn’t just help us crack interviews but also gave us the skills and confidence to start our careers strong.

The CDC was very encouraging and helpful throughout my placement season. The training offered by the CDC especially the aptitude training proved to be very useful for me to get through the initial wall during placements. With the help of CDC, my teachers and my own efforts I was able to land an offer in MuSigma and was able to reach the final rounds of a couple companies like IG. Coming from an ECE background and still being able to land an IT offer was very fulfilling for me. Another extremely good aspect of the CDC is the support for international placements. The tie-up with staffing companies such as Zenken proved to be very helpful to us students to try and aim for higher. I had the opportunity to attend these international interviews and was able to land a core electronics offer in a Japanese company called Dai-Ichi Dentsu Ltd. with an extremely good package of 37lpa. This is the offer that I ended up choosing and I'm thankful to this day towards everyone that has been a part of my journey.
From campus to corporate, I am grateful for the continuous guidance and support I received from the CDC at NMIT. Their mentorship and training programs played a vital role in building my confidence, enhancing my technical and interpersonal skills, and preparing me for the placement process. The entire journey was smooth and well-organized, and I truly appreciate the CDC team for making my transition into Larsen & Toubro as a Graduate Engineer Trainee seamless and memorable.
