CHIGURU

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) has a Kannada Association by the name of ‘CHIGURU.’ This association is active in terms of serving the cause of Kannada language, culture, and ethos. The association helps raise awareness about and connect with the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka in the minds of students coming from different parts of India. The highlight of this association is the Kannada Rajyothsava day celebration, along with other Kannada cultural activities conducted in November, during which time the NMIT and other sister institutions come together to celebrate the occasion. An annual magazine, CHIGURU, is released during Kannada Rajyotsava. Teachers and students showcase their writing skills through this medium.
