Revolutionizing Space Education with Virtual Twin for Accelerated Hands-on Learning | Virtual Twin for CubeSat.

The project "Revolutionizing Space Education with Virtual Twin for Accelerated Hands-on Learning | Virtual Twin for CubeSat" is a collaborative initiative funded by the Dassault Systèmes Foundation (DSF) and executed at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Nitte (Deemed to be University). The project aims to develop a high-fidelity Virtual Twin of a 3U CubeSat using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, integrating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), RFLP methodology, and simulation-driven engineering to provide experiential learning in space systems.

NMIT is responsible for developing the Communication Subsystem, Radiation Testing, and Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) sensors, including antenna systems, deployable RF mechanisms, and Sun, Earth, and Star sensors. The project will deliver a Virtual Twin platform, virtual laboratories, simulation modules, educational content, and collaborative engineering tools to enable students and researchers to design, simulate, test, and validate CubeSat missions in a realistic digital environment before physical implementation.

By bridging the gap between theoretical education and practical satellite development, the project aims to strengthen space engineering education, foster interdisciplinary research, enhance industry-ready skills, and support India's growing space technology ecosystem through collaborative, simulation-based learning.
