Visit to University of Gothenburg, Sweden by KSHEMA - Nitte University Public Health students under Exchange Program

The Department of Public Health at K S Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte University is pleased to announce the selection of two exemplary students, Ms Achal Kudtarkar and Dr Nayana M.R., for a prestigious student exchange program with the Department of Public Health at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The students are scheduled to attend Salgrenskha Academy in Sweden for ten weeks, starting on March 21st, 2024, and concluding on June 6th, 2024.

During the 10-week exchange program, they will be studying Health Economics contributing to global learning and experiences in the field of Public Health. Ms Kudtarkar and Dr Nayana M.R. have been awarded full scholarships, totalling around 5.6 lakh rupees each, covering their travel expenses, accommodation, university fees, food and health insurance. Their selection for this program was based on a comprehensive assessment of their academic prowess, co-curricular achievements and extracurricular activities, as well as tests and interviews.

We extend our best wishes to Ms. Achal Kudtarkar and Dr. Nayana M.R. for a fruitful and enriching experience at the University of Gothenburg. We are confident that they will represent the Department of Public Health, KSHEMA and Nitte University with distinction, while also contributing meaningfully to the global discourse on Public Health.
