NMIT Aeronautical Engineering Student Chapter Recognized by Aeronautical Society of India

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bengaluru, has achieved a significant milestone with the official recognition of its Student Chapter by the Aeronautical Society of India (Ae.S.I), New Delhi. This recognition marks an important step in strengthening academic and professional engagement for students pursuing aeronautical and aerospace engineering.The AeSI Student Chapter at NMIT was established on 25 April 2025 with the aim of promoting technical learning, professional interaction and knowledge sharing among aspiring aerospace engineers. Since its inception, the chapter has received enthusiastic participation from students and currently has more than 160 active members from the second year to final year of the Aeronautical Engineering programme.With this official recognition, the student chapter will serve as a valuable platform for students to connect with the broader aerospace community and stay updated with the latest advancements in aviation and space technologies. The department plans to organize a variety of academic and professional development activities through the chapter, including expert lectures, workshops, seminars, technical competitions and interactions with industry professionals and researchers.These initiatives are expected to help students enhance their technical knowledge, develop industry-relevant skills and gain deeper insights into modern aerospace engineering practices. The activities will also contribute to preparing students for promising careers in the aviation and space sectors.The Department of Aeronautical Engineering expressed its gratitude to the Management of Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology for their continuous support and encouragement in establishing and nurturing the AeSI Student Chapter at NMIT.
