IMTEX Tooltech-2023 award

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (IMTMA) has organized an International Machine Tool Exhibition-2023 (IMTEX-2023), at Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC), from 19th to 25th January 2023. As part of the IMTEX exhibition, IMTMA organizes the "I2 Industry-Academia Pavilion" to promote Industry-Academia collaboration and provides an opportunity to showcase the research capabilities in Manufacturing and automation. Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association has shortlisted 22 institutions from all over the country to present their research work at IMTEX-2023 in the form of a poster.

The NMAMIT Nitte team headed by Dr. Muralidhara , Prof. and Head, Department of Robotics and AI have presented a poster entitled "Design and development of a low-cost 4-axis CNC machine for artwork machining" at the i2 Academia Pavilion. Initially, three industry experts evaluated each institution's posters and selected the ten best projects. The ten shortlisted institutions were asked to present their research projects orally to the jury members and delegates. The three jury members finally selected the five best projects after the oral presentation. Out of the five projects, NMAMIT Nitte won the first consolation prize.
