Overview
  • Location & Hours: The NMAMIT Central Library is located in the main wing of the academic building and is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Space & Capacity:The library spans an area of 1,234 sq. m and can accommodate over 453 students simultaneously.
  • Automation: Operations are fully automated using Koha, a web-enabled library automation software, alongside a barcode system for efficient circulation and book transactions.
  • Print Collection: The repository holds 72,143 volumes of textbooks and reference books, as well as subscriptions to 105 national and international print periodicals covering core engineering disciplines.
  • Digital Infrastructure: A dedicated Digital Library features 25 LAN-connected multimedia computer systems.
  • E-Resources: The institution provides users with seamless on-campus and remote access to an extensive collection of over 233,841 e-resources, encompassing leading scholarly publishers and academic databases such as IEEE, Elsevier, Springer Nature, ProQuest, Scopus, and Web of Science. Research and academic integrity are further strengthened through integrated Turnitin plagiarism detection services.
  • Specialised Facilities & Services:
    • Audio-Visual Centre offering digital self-study resources.
    • Dedicated Book-Bank facility for SC/ST students.
    • Archives of NPTEL and NDL video lectures.
    • Institutional Repository hosting college conference proceedings, research papers, theses, technical reports, and annual magazines.
  • Engagement & Events: Promotes active learning through Library Awareness Quizzes, periodic book exhibitions, and annual Library Week Celebrations hosted by the student-led Library and Literary Club
