Inauguration of Centre of Excellence in Association with Vill Design, Japan

The Department of Cyber Security of NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte inaugurated its Center of Excellence in collaboration with Vill Design, Japan on 15th September 2025. The newly established lab aims to promote innovation, nurture creativity and provide students with valuable hands-on learning experiences.

Dr. M S Moodithaya, Vice Chancellor, Nitte University was the Chief Guest. Guests of Honour included Mr. Naotaka Taguchi, CEO, Vill Design Japan; Mr. Hiroshi Nakayama, COO; Mr. Takashi Tsujiuchi, Executive Manager, Vill Design; Dr. Gopal Mugeraya, Vice President (Technical Education), Nitte University and Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAM IT.

Prof. Harikrishna Bhat, Director (International Collaborations), Nitte DU showcased the various initiatives & collaborations of Nitte with Japanese organisations. The guests, commended NMAMIT for its visionary approach and dedication to quality education. They appreciated the Department of Cyber Security for its outstanding initiatives and expressed admiration for the students' enthusiasm and talent. They expressed confidence in the lab’s potential, emphasizing that it would serve as a hub for innovation and excellence.

Dr. Roshan Fernandes, HoD, Cyber Security & Advisor of this new Centre of Excellence delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Manjunath Kamath K, Asst Professor compered the program.
