Cultural Day

The NICO Student Council hosted Cultural Day on 21st May 2024. The event was a vibrant celebration filled with competitions, games and dance, showcasing the diverse talents of the students.

The festivities began at 2:30 PM with a singing competition, where students from all houses delivered outstanding performances. Ayesha from Green House secured the first place, with Shallon from the Yellow House and Brian from the Blue House both coming second and Arfaan from Blue House securing the third place.

A two-day Workshop on Portraiture and Fashion Photography was conducted by popular fashion photographer Pritham D'souza, on 18th & 19th January 2024 at Nitte Institute of Communication. The workshop was held for the postgraduate students.

While Day-1 was about the way lighting is used in studio shots, Day 2 was about outdoor photography in natural light. Students got to see the pictures clicked by him with a detailed explanation of the lights and props used.

The Indian Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross (YRC), organised the National Youth Day 2024 to commemorate the 162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The Clean-up drive was held on 12th January 2024 at the Tree Park, Tannirbavi Beach, Mangalore.
