Lighting Workshop for Photography and Cinema by Godox

ounded in 1993 as a high-tech manufacturing facility specializing in lighting and audio equipment, Godox has now become a lighting equipment expert and innovator of gears for photographers, videographers, filmmakers and more. Driven by the mission of offering great lighting and audio solutions, Godox has always been pushing the boundaries of technology, and constantly bringing professional products to the industry.

The two-day Workshop was conducted by Resource person Sourav on the 10th and 11th of November 2022. A completely hands-on Workshop, students got to work on equipment provided by Godox and create images using lights and modifiers.

Topics covered on Day 1 of the Workshop included three cornerstones of lighting; 5 myths about lighting; Types of Light Modifiers and how to choose them; Traditional & Non-Traditional form of lighting and Applications of various types of lighting.

Day 2 of the Workshop concentrated more on lighting for cinema. Topics covered were How to start lighting for a video project/shoot; Is LED lighting good for Video; the use of coloured lighting in videos; Lighting placements for video; Parameters to choose a Video Light; Film Lighting Techniques one should know and the Triple effects of Light.

The Workshop was conducted for the students of PG Diploma in Photography & Filmmaking and also the Masters students.
