Orientation Day

Nitte Institute of Communication (NICO) held its orientation for newly admitted undergraduate students of Media & Communication on 3rd August 2026 at the University Auditorium, Paneer campus.

Dr. Moulya B, Head, NICO welcomed the gathering. Guest of Honor, Mr. N V Paulose, Chairman of Global TV encouraged Gen Z students to learn from those with proven experience, emphasizing the importance of small, meaningful actions. Chief Guest Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar, Nitte University described orientation as “a springtime for the university, infusing it with a breath of new life that young students bring through new ideas, new thoughts and fresh outlooks.”

Col. B.S. Ghivari (Retd.), Asst. Director (Student Affairs), assured parents of the hostel's food quality, while Dr. Murali Krishna highlighted the sports facilities. Mr. Bharat introduced counselling services; Mr. Jaison briefed on hospital facilities; and Dr. Pranamya Bhat spoke on POSH awareness.

Dr. Nisha Bharadwaj delivered the vote of thanks. Research scholars Ms. Anjali Rai and Mr. Kashyap compered the ceremony.
