Workshop on Indian Knowledge System and Media Leadership

Nitte Institute of Communication, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), conducted a workshop titled "How do we build resilient media leadership for disruptive times? Applying nuggets of wisdom from the 'Desi' model" on 14th March 2026 at the Staff Development Centre Seminar Hall.

The workshop was facilitated by Prof. (Dr) Sudhir Raj K, Director, Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems at Nitte University. In his presentation, Prof. Sudhir emphasized the relevance of ancient Indian knowledge, citing scriptures from the Bhagavad Gita. He highlighted that the Gita teaches essential values such as humility, modesty and a pro-people approach. Dr. Nesara Kadanakuppe, Convener, Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC), Nitte DU, coordinated the event. Dr. Moulya B, Head, Nitte Institute of Communication, introduced the resource person.
