The Global Yoga Summit 2024, a three-day event held at GKVK Bengaluru, showcased the transformative power of yoga in promoting health, harmony, and sustainable living. The event brought together yoga practitioners, wellness experts, and enthusiasts highlighted the holistic benefits of yoga.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and community members, resulting in the collection of 204 units of blood. Medical professionals ensured safe and hygienic procedures, with donors receiving refreshments and appreciation certificates. The camp fostered a spirit of service and social responsibility, making a positive impact on local blood banks and healthcare facilities
The Youth Red Cross Unit of Dr.N.S.A.M FGC in association with NCC, NSS, and Lions Club of Vijaynagar organized “BLOOD DONATION CAMP” on 12/1/2023. On the special occasion of “National YOUTH DAY”. A total of 135 units of blood was been collected for serving the needy the camp was successfully conducted.
Youth Red Cross Unit of Dr.N.S.A.M First Grade College conducted Blood Donation Camp On the 07/07/2022 with collaboration of the Lions Club, Vishnavi, Vijayanagara, Bengaluru. 30 to 40 Student volunteers successfully concluded its activities and rededicated itself to ‘Community Service’. A total of 113 units of blood were collected.
Youth Red Cross Society organized a walkathon on the occasion of “International Day against Drug Abuse” on 29/6/2022 in Avalahalli Village. The campaign was on “Say No to Drug”. Students participated in the walkathon also spoke with the public creating awareness about the ill effect of drugs.
Youth Red Cross Unit of Dr.N.S.A.M First Grade College had organized Online Article writing on 11/05/2022 on the occasion of “World Red Cross & Red Crescent Day”. In competition students learnt the importance of 7 principles of Youth Red Cross Society given by Henry Dunat the founder of Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement.
Youth Red Cross Society of Dr. N. S. A. M. First Grade College organized virtual talk on “World AIDS Awareness Day” by students on 1/12/2021. Students made Power point presentations to draw attention on the health problems faced by Aids patient. The presentation made by students was informative and convinced their peers.
Youth Red Cross unit had organized “Road Safety Awareness” on the occasion of International Road safety awareness day.
Essay writing competition on the topic “Cancer Awareness” under the direction of YRCs Bengaluru City University was held to mark world cancer day”. Students participated in the competition.
Pencil sketching competition was held on the occasion of “World Cancer Day”.There were 09 participants for the event.
Online students’ presentation was made in groups to observe the “World No Tobacco Day”. 98 participants took part.
