The student council is formed at the beginning of every academic year to assist student affairs and activities. Members of the council are elected by the students, it consists of a President, two General Secretaries, two Joint Secretaries and two members from each class wherein one student is the class representative and the other is the sports representative.

The Chai Pe Charcha Programme organised by Student Council Committee on for all Data Analytics Specialised Students, Mr Mana Mohan been invited as a speaker of the session. Data analytics provided a platform for insightful discussions among participants from diverse backgrounds. It underscored the transformative impact of data analytics on businesses and highlighted the ongoing evolution and challenges within the field
Fresher’s Day “NITTE IGNITE” was organized jointly by Student Council and Cultural Committee. Prof. Dr. HA Raghavendra, stressed on the senior- junior relationship, he added, that Pandemic has taught us the lesson of togetherness, “all for one, one for all”.
Principal, Dr. R. Shanti Iyer congratulated the senior students, Student Council, Cultural Committee, conveners and members.She encouraged the students saying, “This day is going to be Red letter Day and will stay at the thresh hold of your memories”. The day became a wonderful experience for college family.
The Student Council organized a session on how to crack competitive exams like IAS, KAS and other Government exams. Guest Speaker was Ms. Jeevithafrom, Milestone academy V. The session was very interactive and useful to all the students. More than 60 students benefitted from the session.
An Orientation Program was conducted for the First Year Degree Students batch 2019-20.Orientation programs facilitate the transition and integration of students into college learning environment. Information helps to reduce stress due to uncertainty and fosters an active problem – solving style, an important life skill. Successful orientation programs provide learning experiences that help students understand and make adaptations to change.
The Chief Guest Mr.Veerabhadraiah and other dignitaries, Parents and students were given a warm welcome. Principal, DR. R. ShanthiIyer, spoke about the importance of the orientation program and gave emphasis on three points- Attendance, Test, and Discipline. She conveyed the rules and regulations of the college to the parents and students. The chief guest motivated students to face the challenges in life with courage.
Mr.RohitPunja, Administrator NET, graced the occasion. He spoke about 40 years of journey ofNITTE Education Trust. He stressed upon the importance of Discipline and education in life.
DR. Shailaja Shastri, Mr. Vamshi and Mr. Bhargabha conducted sessions on ‘PARENTING’, Add on Courses for CA/CS and Aviation which was highly appreciated by the parents.
A talk for the students of first year B.Com and BBA was organized by the Students Council. The Resource Person for the event was Dr. Sathyanarayana B.N, Professor and Leader, Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory. The session enlightened students about the importance of education, broadening their perspective with respect to learning and not limiting themselves only to class room learning.
The talk and activity session was conducted for the male students of First year B.Com. The topic related to stress and stress management techniques were discussed. “The second decade of life involves tremendous cognitive development that increases adolescents’ ability to think abstractly, reason, and plan (Halpern - Felsher, Millstein, & Irwin, 2002; Keating 1990). College students experience stress due to changes in lifestyle, increased workload, new responsibilities, and interpersonal relationships. An activity using a blank paper and a sketch pen was conducted to make students understand how challenges in life can be turned into opportunity. The students of final year and second year celebrated the Fresher’s Day “PRARAMBH” under the guidance of Student Council and Cultural Committee, headed by Ms. Lakshmi R.Principal Ms. Chithra, of Dr.NSAM PU College was the Chief Guest for the function.Freshers were given a warm welcome by the staff and the students. The formal function ended with the vote of thanks.
