National Service Scheme (NSS) plays an integral part at NSAM. The activities conducted at NSAM helps the student to be disciplined, organised, and to exhibit leadership skills.

The NSS unit had organized Blood Donation Camp in association with “Lions Blood
Bank”, Vijayanagar Bengaluru on 07th November 2024.
204 volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp which include teaching &
non- teaching staff and student donors and supported for social cause. The NSS Unit
has been consistently organizing Blood Donation Camps every year for students and
the faculty members come forward voluntarily to donate blood.
The volunteers of the NSS unit visited the voters of Mylappanahalli village and created awareness about the importance of voting. Eighty students participated in the awareness programme. Mr. Harish, a member of Mylappanhalli Gram Panchayat, graced the occasion.
The NSS Unit organized a “Road Safety Awareness Program and Felicitation for Drivers” with the honorable presence of Chief Guest Mr. Rajagopal Periasamy, Secretary, Ashok Leyland. The chief guest explained the road safety rules, traffic signs, road action figures and road safety acts. This awareness programme aims to promote road safety and prevent road accidents by encouraging students to obey road safety rules and regulations.
The NSS unit had organised Blood Donation Camp in association with “Lions Blood Bank” Vijayanagara Bengaluru on 14th December 2023. 172 volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp which included teaching & non-teaching staff and student donors. This blood donation camp not only to save the lives of the people who are deprived of life and also saves the life of many people.
The NSS Unit had organised an inaugural programme for its activities for the academic year 2023-2024 on 5th October 2023 with honourable presence of Prof. Raghavendra Principal and Dr. Shanthi Iyer Advisor. The programme briefed the volunteers about various activities planned for the year and solicited active participation from the volunteers for their implementation for the nation building and to create an awareness Motto of NSS and history to the prospective volunteers.
NSS Unit had organised “Cleanliness drive in community” Shramadhana in accordance to “United India for Swachhta” on 28/09/2022 in association with Singanayakanahalli Grama Panchayat at Avalahalli Village. NSS volunteers participated in the activity. The Objective of the drive was to promote the importance of cleanliness, hygiene discipline and infuse sense of responsibility in students to maintain clean environment.
On the occasion of 126th Jayanti of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose “Pursuance to inspire the feeling of patriotism among the citizens”, the Ministry of Defense, in collaboration with MyGov, invited students to express their views by composing an essay on the theme “Contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to the Freedom Struggle”. To commemorate this, the NSS unit had organised an essay writing competition for the students on 18/01/2023 and the same was communicated to authority.
The Annual Special Camp of NSS Unit of the college was organised at Ghati village Doddaballapur from 13/02/2023 to 17/02/2023 for final year B.Com and BBA students. The focus of the special camp organized was in response to the community needs at the micro level. Some broad areas of activities are cleanliness, environment enrichment and conservation, health awareness etc.
The “Voting Awareness and Pledge” undertaking program was organised in the college on 28/04/2023. The students, teaching and non-teaching staff had participated in the program. The focus the voting awareness program was to make students understand the importance of each vote and to motivate them to cast their vote and participate in assembly election without fail.
NSS Unit of the college had conducted “Voting Awareness” for the villagers of Myllapanahalli on 05/05/2023. The objective of this awareness program was to increase voter's registration, to motivate the villagers to exercise their voting power by participating in Karnataka Assembly election and make the democracy more powerful.
NSS unit conducted “Saplings Distribution” on 04/06/2022 in view of “World Environment Day” around 52 volunteers had participated from final year B.Com and BBA courses. We pasted banners and posters in the area around the village. So that people read these and know the importance of tree plantation.
NSS unit conducted an E pledge on a theme “Say yes to life, No to drugs”on 01/02/2022 in view of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India. Around 68 NSS volunteers took E pledge and avail certificates.
NSS unit conducted an awareness programme and survey on a topic “Role of a citizen towards good governance”on 23/12/2021 near Myllapannahalli in view of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'' an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. Around 40 volunteers of fifth semester B.Com students took part in the activity.
NSS unit conducted an “Essay writing “competition on 20/12/2021 on topics: India of my Dream-Vision 2047 & Unsung heroes of Freedom Movement. In view of National Youth Day the competition was conducted around 38 volunteers had participated from second and final year B.Com course.
NSS unit organized “Bottle Gardening activity” on 29/11/2021 for I semester B.Com “A” section students. The usage of plastic bottles is hard to avoid and are disposed of in the streets, waterways, landfills. Around 43 volunteers took part in the activity. NSS Programme Officer Mr.Srinivas explained how to make a bottle garden and its benefits & procedure to maintain.
NSS unit organized “Seed Ball Campaign” on 13/11/2021 at in and around of Myllapannahalli Lingarajapura forest area. NSS volunteers had tried creating seed balls in a simple way mixed coco peat and organic manure. Nearly 580 seed balls made by volunteers. Around 41 NSS volunteers of I semester B.Com participated in the activity.
NSS unit organized a “Cleanliness drive” under the “Swachh Bharath Abhiyan” on 23/10/2021 in and around the college campus. The Objective of the drive would promote the values of cleanliness, discipline and respect for the environment in the students and educate and sensitize them about the importance of cleanliness for a healthy. Around 42 NSS volunteers of III semester B.Com participated in the activity.
The NSS Unit conducted E-Quiz on account of “International Plastic bag free Day” on a theme “Say No To Plastics” in association with Bengaluru City University. Most participants scored 35+ points out of 50 points. Nearly 1104 students pan India participated in the competition
“World Environment Day” was observed planting saplings in the respective surroundings. Aim was to create environmental awareness among the masses. Participation from the neighbourhood was encouraging. Selfies with saplings were clicked during the campaign.
An awareness program was organised by showing a video on the topic “Say no to Plastic”. Objective of this activity was to create awareness about the hazards of using plastic on our eco-system. The video also focused on the eco-friendly alternatives of the plastic
