The Department of General Medicine, KS Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Nitte (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with MEDIORA – The Undergraduate Medicine Club, successfully organised KSHEMA MEDIQUEST 2026 – A Comprehensive Clinical Update through Interactive Learning on 10 October 2026 at Chinthana Hall, Justice KS Hegde Hospital, Mangaluru, with 140 delegates in attendance. The inaugural function was graced by Dr. Sukanya Shetty, Vice Dean, KSHEMA, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Jayaprakash Alva, Former Dean, Father Muller Medical College and Professor Emeritus, KSHEMA, as Guest of Honour. The scientific programme featured seven interactive sessions: “Neuro Detective: From Symptom to Lesion,” “The 24-Hour Doctor: Learning Without Losing Yourself,” “At the Bedside: Pulse & JVP Simplified,” “Percuss • Listen • Diagnose,” “Decoding Cardiac Murmurs,” “The Painful Joint: A Practical Approach,” and “Finding the Cause Behind the Count.” Case presentations by junior residents and expert-led discussions encouraged clinical reasoning, bedside examination skills and evidence-based decision-making.
