Introduction

START course is a One-day course which helps the trainees to make a logical and safe start to almost any clinical situation. It helps trainees to assess the patient in a systematic way and escalate to appropriate care. It not only imparts technical knowledge but it also emphasizes on the importance of human factors in the work place.

Participants:

The course is targeted at House surgeons and 1st year post graduate trainees from all clinical specialities.
The course is designed for 25 participants.
The participants are expected to read the e- handbook will be provided by the Royal College of Surgeons of England before the course.

It is a off-line course. However participant must read the e-material to receive the course well.

3) How many participants can participate per course?
25 participants. (First come first basis)

4) Who can apply for the course?
a) House-surgeons.
b) First year Post-graduates of any clinical speciality

5) Is there a course fees?
Yes. A nominal fees of rupees 5500 per candidate.

6) How to register to START course?
Register in NITTE website. Once your registration is confirmed NITTE you will be given access to RCS account.

7) Is there a assessment during the course?
YeS. Candidates are formatively assessed.

No

9) Do I get a certificate for completion of course?
Yes. After successful completion of course you will receive a certificate fro Royal College of Surgeons of England.
