Incīsiō, the Undergraduate Surgical Club of KS. Hegde Medical Academy in collaboration with the Nitte University Medical Simulation Centre and various specialties organized the undergraduate conference, INCISICON 2.0 on 18th & 19th July 2026. The two-day academic and skill-oriented surgical conference provided undergraduate medical students with opportunities to enhance their clinical & surgical skills, research aptitude, teamwork, communication and clinical decision-making.
The conference featured a diverse range of hands-on workshops, multidisciplinary masterclasses, research and AI-focused sessions, scientific & case presentations, quiz & debate competitions and an interactive escape room activity. Workshops covered essential skills such as suturing, airway management, POCUS and E-FAST, vascular & bowel anastomosis, trauma care and other clinical procedures. The conference brought together multiple Surgical and Allied Departments, fostering multidisciplinary learning and providing students with exposure to contemporary clinical practices and simulation-based education. INCISICON 2.0 served as a dynamic platform for experiential learning, academic excellence, skill development and professional growth, encouraging undergraduate medical students to develop confidence and a strong interest in surgery and research.
