The Nitte University Blood Centre, Dept. of Pathology, KSHEMA, in association with the Dept. of Medical Laboratory Technology, NIAHS successfully organized an Industry-Academia CME & Workshop titled "Mastering Basics of Phlebotomy to Learning Advances in Blood Component Preparation" on 26th March 2026 at Chintana Hall, Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital.

The program featured insightful scientific sessions focusing on standard practices in venous and donor phlebotomy. A post-lunch hands-on workshop was conducted for 20 students, covering the Buffy coat reduction method of blood component preparation and practical phlebotomy techniques, in collaboration with Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies and Becton Dickinson India Pvt. Ltd.
