Rapid Onsite Evaluation (ROSE) Workshop

As part of the Indian Academy of Cytologists – Karnataka Chapter Conference (IAC-KCCON) 2025, the Rapid Onsite Evaluation (ROSE) workshop was successfully conducted at K S Hegde Medical Academy on 28th October 2025. This session offered participants immersive, hands-on training in cytological assessment techniques, with a strong emphasis on enhancing real-time diagnostic decision-making. The workshop featured: Live demonstrations of ROSE techniques, guided hands-on practice using simulated samples, Interactive discussions on cytomorphological interpretation and sample adequacy assessment. Participants gained practical experience in rapid cytological evaluation - a technique increasingly vital in procedures such as Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC), Endobronchial Ultrasound-Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) and other minimally invasive diagnostic approaches.

The workshop was moderated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Y, Professor of Pathology, Dr. Divya Joshi & Dr Pallavi H, Senior Residents, Dept. of Pathology, KSHEMA.
