Robosoft HR Manager Speaks on Workplace Motivation at JKSHIM

Ms. Lakshmi Shetty, Manager – Talent Acquisition at Robosoft Technology Private Limited, Udupi, addressed students at the JKSHIM Auditorium on 17 October 2026 on “Workplace Motivation".

Ms. Lakshmi Shetty, Shetty in her address informed employee performance rests on three factors: motivation, ability and opportunity. She then explained the Needs Theory, which draws on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory. She drew a line between hygiene factors, which prevent dissatisfaction, and motivators, which push people to perform better.She explained how managers can apply Vroom’s Expectancy Theory (1964), Adams’ Equity Theory (1963) and Locke’s Goal-Setting Theory (1968) in real workplace situations.

The gust lecture on Workplace Motivation gave the students a better idea of how HR thinks, which can help in interviews and early careers.
