Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management hosted an expert lecture on the critical role of human capital, titled "People Power : The Human Edge in Service Marketing Excellence" on 18th November 2025.

The session featured Ms. Rashmitha Shenoy, Partner, Barghavi Hypermarket and an accomplished JKSHIM alumna from the graduating class of 2019. Ms. Nadhi Suvarna welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. Ms. Shenoy shared invaluable knowledge and practical insights drawn from her extensive professional experience with the students. The core theme of the lecture was the irreplaceable and crucial role of people in service marketing and business operations as a whole. She delivered a strong message regarding the limitations of technology, asserting that the human element is secure for the foreseeable future. She emphasized the profound impact of human emotions, sentiments and relational skills, stating "No technology, including artificial intelligence, can replace humans anytime soon, at least not in the next 500 years." She stressed that convincing customers and keeping them interested relies on personal belief and human relationships.
