Overview

The Bachelor of Commerce (Professional) (Honors) Program is a specialized Undergraduate degree designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aligned with the National Higher Education Qualifications Framework (NHEQF) and the National Credit Framework (NCrF). The Program integrates a comprehensive commerce curriculum with structured coaching for professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a globally recognized professional accounting qualification from the UK.

Eligibility

  • Semester 1 of 4-year BCom (Professional) (Honors) Program: Completed Class 12th / Pre-university / HSC Intermediate of recognized Board with minimum 45% of aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST applicants).
  • Lateral entry into Semester 3 of 4-year BCom (Professional) (Honors) Program: 1-year Certificate in Commerce or related Discipline.
  • Lateral entry into Semester 5 of BCom (Professional) (Honors) Program: 2-year Diploma in Commerce or related Discipline.
  • Progression to Semester 7 of BCom (Professional) (Honors) Program: Should complete I to VI Semesters of B. Com Program.
  • Progression to Semester 7 of BCom (Professional) (Honors with Research): Should complete I to VI Semester of BCom with a minimum of 7.5 CGPA.

Admission Procedure

Students seeking admission to BCom Professional (Honors) are required to submit the Admission Query form available on apply.nitte.edu.in

On receipt of the same, the Admission Section will guide the students with the process of registration and admission. Admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Documents required for admission (Original + 2 attested copies)

  • Class 10 Marks Card
  • Class 12 Marks Card
  • Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended
  • Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended
  • Migration Certificate from the Board of the institution last studied
  • Eligibility Certificate issued by Nitte University (This will be handled by Nitte)
  • Physical fitness Certificate from a registered medical practitioner
  • Blood group Certificate
  • Aadhaar card copy of the student
  • Photographs: Recent colour photo with white background of resolution 300 - 600 dpi
    Passport size 5 Nos. (35mm x 45mm) & Stamp size 5 Nos. (20mm x 25mm)

Qualifications from foreign countries
Candidates with qualifications from educational institutions outside of India may be admitted to the program(s) subject to establishment of equivalence by the university. The Program Committee will evaluate and establish the eligibility of such candidates.

Commencement of Program

BCOM (Honors) program commences on the date prescribed by the University, generally in August.
