Principal

Dr. Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor is a seasoned academician with multidisciplinary knowledge and rich administrative experience. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance), a Master’s Degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, and M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Management; as also having qualified in the Karnataka SET (Management) Examinations. His diverse credentials reflect his keen interest in varied subjects. With 21 years of industry, academic and research experience, he has unique skillsets that include project and training coordination. Dr. Pai’s professional journey began as Lecturer in Finance and Taxation at the SDM College of Business Management & Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangalore, in 2003. He later worked with JP Morgan Chase Bank, both in India and the USA Corporate office from 2006 to 2012, where he held executive grade positions in Commercial Banking, Investment Banking and Financial Services.

Dr. Pai has worked at the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, as a Post-Graduate Program Coordinator handling the Academics and Examinations portfolio from July 2012 to July 2021. He has worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Coordinator-Alumni Affairs at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte from August 2021 to July 2024. His tenure saw the Introduction of an innovative Value Added Course in Finance, Accounting and Taxation for Engineers and also a strengthening of Alumni relations by organizing mega Global Alumni Meets at Dubai-UAE, Nitte and Kochi.

He is a recognized research guide for the Ph.D. Program in Business Administration and Commerce at Nitte DU. He also serves as a Research Advisory Committee member of Nitte DU, Srinivas University and PRIST Deemed-to-be University. As a researcher, he has several publications to his credit, of which many are indexed in SCOPUS and ABDC.

He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) Mumbai, the International Association of Academicians and Researchers (INAAR) Pune, and the Mangalore Management Association (affiliated to AIMA), Mangaluru.

In his current role as Principal of the Nitte Institute of Professional Education, he is committed to strengthening the academic culture; building strong industry collaborations and providing students with excellent education thus preparing them for successful careers in their chosen fields. He has always believed in disruptive innovation and his academic leadership at NIPE continues to inspire the faculty and students to excel in the teaching and learning processes.
