NIA hosted an event called NIA Conversations at the University Auditorium, Paneer campus on 14th March 2023. Students, faculty members and architecture enthusiasts participated in the event. The keynote speech by Prof. K T Ravindran highlighted the importance of dialogue in architecture and urbanism. He stressed that architecture should be more than just a building and it should reflect the culture, tradition and needs of the people. Ar. Chitra Viswanath spoke about sustainable architecture and green buildings, sharing her experiences in designing sustainable buildings in India.
The event concluded with a panel discussion, where Prof. K T Ravindran and Ar. Chitra Viswanath shared their thoughts on various topics related to architecture and urbanism. The panel discussion was moderated by Prof. Vinod Aranha, Director, NIA.
This was followed by a networking session which provided a platform for architects, urban planners and students to exchange ideas. The talks were informative & inspiring and the event was a great opportunity for attendees to broaden their knowledge and network with like-minded individuals and learn from some of the best minds in the field of architecture and urbanism.
