About the Program
A five-year program, the curriculum focuses on design studios, building technology, structural systems, and polishing students' skills in design thinking, technical drawing and 3D modeling. The Core Curriculum includes architectural design, history, understanding building materials, structural mechanics, and environmental systems.
About the Institute
Nitte Institute of Architecture (NIA), Mangalore was established in 2015 with the vision of building a learning campus that supports creative exploration and nurtures the journey of students towards a meaningful architectural practice. With its energetic, innovative and vibrant approach to architectural education, the school has been envisioned as a centre for excellence in tropical architecture with partners across the world.
The BArch program is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility
Pass in Class 12 with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate in Class 12 examination, with English as one of the languages of study. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission (OR) Pass in 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
Besides this, candidates are required to qualify in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by CoA.
Admission Procedure
Candidates seeking admission to the BArch program are required to submit the Admission Enquiry form available on the homepage of apply.nitte.edu.inOn receipt of the same, the Admission Section will guide the students with the process of registration and admission.
Candidates have to submit a creative portfolio along with grade reports and aptitude test scores for evaluation. Admission of eligible candidates to the BArch program is based on their aptitude, passion for the program and willingness to work hard consistently, apart from their performance in the qualifying examination. A personal interview will be part of the final assessment for admission.

- Conduct certificate from the institution last attended
- Migration certificate from the Board of the institution last attended
- Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
- Blood group certificate
- Aadhaar card copy of the student
- Photographs: Recent colour photo with white background, of resolution 300-600 dpi & size 35 mm x 45 mm (P.P size 5 Nos.) & size 20 mm x 25 mm (Stamp size 5 Nos)
Commencement of Program
