Prof. C. S. Shastry has secured B.Pharm with gold medal from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 1981. He has obtained M.Pharm in the year 1984 from Government College
of Pharmacy, Bangalore. In the year 2004, he was awarded the Doctorate degree from Kuvempu University for the thesis entitled “Synthesis and Pharmacological Studies on Analogues
of Chloramphenicol”. He has vast experience both in the pharmaceutical industry and in academics. He has rendered his service in the pharmaceutical industry in various sectors
like quality control and production.
