Celebration of International Women’s Day

The Gender Sensitization Cell (GSC) of NGSMIPS celebrated International Women’s Day on 13th March 2026 to honour the achievements and contributions of women in society. The program was conducted under the theme “Give to Gain,” which highlights the idea that by supporting, empowering and uplifting women, society gains progress, equality and development.
Prof. (Dr) Marina Koland, Principal, NGSMIPS introduced the speakers, highlighting their contributions to women’s empowerment.
Ms. Matharani Mathias, Former Principal & Director of Sarosh Institute of Hotel Administration and Ms. Sachitha Nandagopal, Member, Juvenile Justice Board, D.K., Govt. of Karnataka, were the speakers & guests for the program.
They emphasized the importance of confidence, education & mutual support among women and highlighted how the concept of “Give to Gain” can be applied in everyday life. The speakers motivated the faculty & students to believe in their abilities, pursue their goals with determination and contribute to society with compassion and responsibility.
The program also included interactive discussions and participants reflected on the importance of gender equality and empowerment. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Jennifer Fernandes, Coordinator, GSC-NGSMIPS.
