Anti-Ragging Week Celebration 2026

As part of the observance of Anti-Ragging Week 2026 under the theme “Say No to Ragging – Build a Safe and Inclusive Campus,” Nitte College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, organized, Anti-Ragging Week Celebration in association with the NSS Unit of NCOPS, on 12 and 13-08-2026 at the Seminar Hall under the chairmanship of Dr. V. Kusum Devi, Principal.

The programme aims to create awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of ragging and to reinforce the values of mutual respect, inclusiveness, and responsible conduct on campus. As part of the event, students and staff taken the Anti-Ragging Pledge, followed by an awareness session on anti-ragging regulations, students’ rights and responsibilities, and legal consequences of ragging.

The programme commenced on 12th August 2026 with an awareness address by Dr. K. Kavitha, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics and Anti-Ragging Coordinator, who highlighted the significance of Anti-Ragging Week and students’ responsibilities. An anti-ragging awareness videos were screened.

On 13th August 2026, students participated enthusiastically in essay writing, e-poster and flyer presentation competitions. The NSS Unit of NCOPS presented an awareness skit emphasizing the harmful effects of ragging. During the valedictory programme, Dr. V. Kusum Devi, Principal, NCOPS, addressed the gathering and delivered an inspiring message on maintaining a safe, supportive and ragging-free campus. The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the winners were felicitated by Principal, in recognition of their enthusiastic participation and creative contributions. The celebration reinforced the collective commitment of students and staff towards a ragging-free and student-friendly campus.
