The NSS unit of NCOPS recently organized a introduction session on police marshals, an initiative by the Bengaluru City Police in collaboration with the Aarohan Foundation. The session aimed to raise awareness about the critical role of police marshals in ensuring public safety and security. Experts discussed how mobile phone scams, fraudulent bank calls, and fake numbers are commonly used for online fraud, urging attendees to be cautious while dealing with unknown contacts. Attendees were educated on how to identify and report such cybercrimes, stressing the importance of safeguarding personal information and being vigilant against online threats. The event emphasized the need for public awareness and community involvement in maintaining law and order while also ensuring protection from cybercriminal activities.
