Nitte College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bangalore organized Scientific Pillars 2025 Workshop on topic Essential Pillars of Research: methodology, ethics, statistics, protocol design, and metrics for success. This workshop featured a distinguished panel of guest speakers, each contributing their expertise in advancing research standards across various fields. Dr. G Jagadeesh, formerly Senior Expert Pharmacologist under the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the US FDA, will offer valuable insights into pharmacological research methodologies. Dr. Balakumar Pitachi, Professor and Director of Research Training and Publications at Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology, will explore the evolving role of research training and effective publication strategies. Dr. Shubhada Nagarkar, Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Savitribal Phule Pune University, discussed essential role of information resources in research. Ms. Hitahaishi Krishnamurthy, a final-year law student at PES University, Bangalore, will bring perspectives on the intersection of law and research ethics. further Dr. Srinivasa Raju Datla, Senior Pharmacologist at the Office of New Drugs, CDER, FDA, addressed regulatory aspects and drug development protocols. The workshop provided an unique opportunity for researchers to gain a deeper understanding of the essential pillars that ensure high-quality, ethical, and impactful research with practical knowledge to strengthen their work and contribute to the advancement of society.
