VIGILANCE FOR SAFETY: CELEBRATING PHARMACOVIGILANCE WEEK

The Department of Pharmacology at Nitte College of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated National Pharmacovigilance Week from September 17th to 23rd, 2024, under the theme "Building ADR Reporting Culture for Patient Safety." The event included an introduction to pharmacovigilance, emphasizing the significance of Adverse Drug Reaction. Engaging group activities and a rally raised awareness about safe medication practices. Students participated in an essay competition, showcasing insights on monitoring adverse drug reactions, while a vibrant poster presentation creatively expressed knowledge of pharmacovigilance. This initiative reinforced the vital role of pharmacovigilance in enhancing patient care and safety within the healthcare system
