"Paritrana 360," a self-defense

The NSS Unit of NCOPS organized a "Paritrana 360," a self-defense workshop for women On September 12, 2024, at the Dr. Nitte Shankara Adyanthaya Theater. The event featured Hanshi Capt. S.C. Durai, a 9th Dan Black Belt (Red Belt) from Japan and Director & Chief Examiner of the Okinawa Goju-Kan Karate Do Training School. Capt. Durai led an engaging session focused on practical self-defense techniques, emphasizing personal safety and confidence. Participants actively practiced various self-defense strategies under Capt. Durai’s expert guidance. The interactive session included hands-on exercises, Q&A, and discussions on personal protection. Feedback from attendees was highly positive, reflecting their increased confidence and appreciation for the skills acquired. The workshop successfully empowered women with valuable tools for self-defense and personal safety.
