The NSS unit of NCOPS organized an awareness session on sports injuries, graced by Dr. Khaja Javeed Khan, consultant in interventional pain and palliative care at Cytecare Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. V. Kusum Devi warmly greeted and welcomed Dr. Khaja Javed Khan, establishing a positive atmosphere for the session and emphasizing the importance of such informative gatherings in the holistic development of students. Dr. Khan shared valuable insights into interventional pain management for sports injuries, including discussions on minimally invasive procedures. In addition to sports injuries, he covered various health issues related to pain management. Dr. Khan also delved into the rehabilitation process, highlighting the significance of physiotherapy and obviate the need for surgery. The session, attended by both students and faculty, encouraged interactive discussions and heightened awareness about the importance of timely treatment. This event served as a valuable educational opportunity, providing practical knowledge for the prevention and management of sports and other injuries.
