National Librarian’s Day Celebration

The Library & Information Centre of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences celebrated the National Librarians Day at Vimshati Bhavan on 12th August 2025. Dr. Sujatha, Librarian welcomed the gathering. Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr) Khaisar Muneebulla Khan, Former Chairman, Dept. of Library & Information Science, Mangalore University delivered an insightful talk highlighting the contribution of Dr. S R Ranganathan, Father of Library Science in India and the evolving role of librarians in the digital era. Prof (Dr) Mithra N Hegde, Principal, ABSMIDS presided over the program.
