The SNA Council members (2022-23) of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized Christmas and New Year celebration on 9th December 2022 under the guidance of SNA President Prof. Dr. Fatima D'silva, SNA Advisor Mrs. Melba Drago and Program coordinator, Prof. Dr. Nalini M. The celebration commenced with the welcome address by Ms. Ajal Maria Mathew, SNA Vice President, NUINS in the presence of all the dignitaries - Prof Dr.Sabita Nayak, Vice Principal, NUINS, Mrs. Cleeta Pinto, Principal, SoN, Col. Ghivari, Asst. Director, Student Welfare, and all the teaching and non-teaching faculty. The program was hosted by Ashly R. George from IIIrd year BSc (N). 

Prof. Dr. Sabita Nayak delivered the Christmas message and wished everyone a new start for the upcoming year 2023. Col. Ghivari shared his thoughts and conveyed his Christmas greetings to the audience. A total of 40 faculty and 565 students attended the program. A cake-cutting program was organized by the Student Council. The Vice Principal, Prof. Dr. Sabitha Nayak, along with Mrs. Cleeta Pinto, Col. Ghivari and student representatives from each batch participated in the cake cutting. 

This was followed by cultural events. A skit by the 2nd year students followed by carol singing brought in the Christmas spirit. There was a lucky draw hosted by Nina Ann & Venisha Mathias in between the program. The surprise entry by Santa Claus to draw the lucky winner of the day enhanced the Christmas mood. The audience witnessed spectacular dance performances by the 1st and 3rd year BSc girls and scintillating dance performance by the 3rd year BSc & GNM boys. In the housie-housie game that followed, 6 students won the cash prize sponsored by the Principal, Prof. Dr. Fatima Dsilva. The program ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Anora Lewis, SNA Secretary. Refreshments were served which was arranged by the Student Council.
