Onam Celebration – Thakrithi

The Onam celebration at Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS), organized by the Student Nurses Association (SNA) held on 2nd September 2025 witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 500 students and 50 faculty members. The festivities began with a grand Chenda Melam procession, followed by the inaugural function. Cultural programmes, including the Mega Thiruvathira, along with fun-filled games like Tug of War, added colour and excitement to the day. The highlight of the celebration was the traditional Grand Onam Sadhya served on banana leaves, which brought everyone together in the true spirit of Onam – unity, prosperity, and harmony.
