Breastfeeding Week Celebration - 2026

The Department of Child Health Nursing, NUINS in collaboration with Department of Public Health Dentistry, AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences and Public Health Center, Amblamogaru organized a Breastfeeding Week Celebration and Dental Screening Camp on 7th August 2026 at Bharath Friends Club, Pariyala, Amblamogaru, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr) Sujatha R, HoD, Child Health Nursing.

The program aimed to promote awareness on the importance of breastfeeding through a role play by 5th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students and a health education on breastfeeding practices for mothers, which was coordinated by Ms Soniya Dsouza, Lecturer.

A dental screening check-up was conducted by the Department of Public Dentistry, ABSMIDS which benefited 33 adults and 3 children having dental problems like tooth decay, missing tooth, need for scaling and infected tooth requiring extraction.
